The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the launch of an advanced version of the electronic platform for booking tickets to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, ensuring a more convenient and convenient booking experience, within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to improve the quality of services provided to visitors to the Grand Egyptian Museum, and to facilitate electronic reservation procedures for entry tickets via the Internet.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, confirmed that the launch of the developed platform comes within the framework of a strategic direction to unify the digital identity of the museum, by adopting only one official channel for booking tickets, emanating from the official website, in a way that reflects the institutional character and enhances user confidence.
He added that this step aims to achieve the highest levels of digital security for visitors, especially in light of monitoring many unofficial sites impersonating the museum and promoting the sale of fake tickets, stressing the importance of relying on the official link only when booking tickets, and not dealing with any unreliable sites, to preserve the rights of visitors and ensure a safe and easy experience.
Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Digital Services pointed out that repeated attempts to create fake pages on domains similar to the commercial domain (.com) have prompted a shift to using the official national domain (eg), which enjoys government reliability, which contributes to reducing electronic fraud.
