No Extreme Heat Forecast in Egypt During Eid al-Adha 2026

By the meteorological authority in Egypt, it is stated by one of their members at the media center, Ms. Manar Ghanem, that Egypt is likely to experience pleasant weather during Eid al-Adha 2026. The forecast from 26 May 2026 to 30 May 2026 is expected to be ranging between 30°C and 32°C, which are comparatively low according to the summer temperatures.  

While addressing the public through an extra news channel, Manar Ghanem also said that no heatwaves will be there during the days of the Eid al-Adha holiday period—relieving news for the public. 

Dr. Manar Ghanem, who is the spokesperson for the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, has also said the regions in the Mediterranean regions, like Alexandria, will be experiencing mild temperatures likely fluctuating between 25°C and 27°C, making days less hot. In addition to that, it is stated the southern part of Egypt will experience hot temperatures somewhere from 37°C to 38°C, making days feel hotter. 

But for relief, she also said while addressing the weather forecast that nighttime and early morning temperatures are relatively going to feel cooler than the mornings, as temperatures will fall to around 19°C–20°C in the capital city of Cairo and around 17°C in some other major cities. Also, during the nights there will be pleasant winds, best for open-air evening get-togethers.  

While reporting the weather forecast, she further added that the chances of rainfall are very low and only possible at coastal regions with low precipitation rates. The winds are expected to be active nationwide, with speeds ranging from about 30 to 40 km/h. Regions near the Red Sea may experience dust and sandstorms; chances are lower. The chances of cloud formations are relatively low in cities like Greater Cairo, Suez Canal cities, Luxor, and Aswan. 

Also said that day temperatures will be ideal for outdoor activities, and family can plan outings. At last, to conclude, she advised the citizens to wear light, breathable cotton clothes and advised them to stay hydrated.
