Egypt Launches Tourism Roadshow Across 4 German Cities

The Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority organized a tourist convoy in the German market in cooperation with the tour operator DER Touristik (DERTOUR), with the aim of enhancing demand for Egyptian tourist destinations and supporting tourist traffic coming from this important market during the coming period.

The caravan activities were held in 4 German cities: Magdeburg, Hamburg, Münster, and Aachen, and travel and tourism agents and offices in these cities participated in them, to learn about the various Egyptian tourist destinations and the attractive tourist features of each destination, which will contribute to supporting sales during the upcoming summer season.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Authority, stressed that diversifying promotional tools and means is a key element in delivering the promotional message to various market segments, adding that tourist convoys are one of the effective tools that the Authority is keen to employ, given that they are a means directed to decision-makers and tourism agents, and provide a direct opportunity to review new tourism projects and infrastructure developments, in addition to responding to professional partners’ inquiries about the Egyptian destination. It also contributes to identifying more precisely the nature of the targeted tourism markets. And changes in her interests and preferences.

Mohamed Farag, Director of the Tourist Office in Berlin, said that the tour operator DER Touristik is one of the most prominent tour operators in the German market, and achieves high sales rates for Egyptian tourist destinations, especially Nile Cruise trips in Egypt with Nile Cruisen Company, pointing out that Egypt has become a year-round tourist destination thanks to the diversity of its destinations between the coasts of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, in addition to the cultural tourism destinations that are unique to it, which enhances its competitiveness in various international markets.
