Familiarization trips for tourism experts from the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy

The Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority organized several introductory trips to promote the Egyptian tourist destination, as it hosted a delegation that included the largest 21 tourism agents from the most important sales agents in the Czech market in cooperation with the Czech tour operator Coral Travel, and a delegation that included officials from the Italian tour operator Alpitour Group, and a press delegation affiliated with the German tour operator TUI with the participation of the TUI Care Foundation, to visit several Egyptian tourist destinations, to highlight the diverse tourism components, products and styles and the many competitive advantages it enjoys.
The Egyptian tourist destination, in addition to highlighting the components of Egypt as a promising future destination, promotes sustainable and green tourism.

The ِEgypt Trip Program  for the travel agents included a visit to the cities of Hurghada and Marsa Alam, while the tourism program for the Alpitour Group officials included a visit to several tourist and archaeological landmarks in the cities of Cairo and Giza, where they toured the Giza Pyramids area, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and the Khan Al-Khalili area. The tourism program for the press delegation, from the countries of Germany, Austria, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Greece, and the Scandinavian region, also included a visit to the cities of Hurghada, Cairo, and Luxor with Egypt river cruise

On the sidelines of these introductory trips, Dr. Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Authority, met with these delegations, where he reviewed the tourism products that characterize the Egyptian tourist destination, especially the new ones, as well as the various tourist destinations, and the most prominent developments witnessed by the tourism sector in Egypt, in addition to talking about the efforts of the Egyptian state in developing the tourism infrastructure, implementing major projects, and encouraging tourism investment.

A professional meeting was also held between the Authority’s officials specialized in the Italian market and the officials of the Alpitour Group tour operator, during which ways were discussed to enhance cooperation to further promote the Egyptian tourist destination in the Italian market and attract more incoming tourist traffic. The proposed strategic plan for coordination and cooperation with the Authority was discussed through implementing direct and indirect joint advertising campaigns and organizing several professional promotional activities, especially within the framework of the Italian tour operator’s keenness to maintain Egypt’s continued presence as a leading integrated tourist destination for Italian tourists, especially since it focuses its sales largely on the two types of leisure and classic tourism that are of interest to Italian tourists, especially in the cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Marsa Alam, in addition to the city of Cairo and Nile cruises in Luxor and Aswan, which enhances and supports the incoming Italian tourist movement.
