Detailed Itinerary for 9-day trip to Egypt

Day 1: Arrival in Egypt

You arrive in Egypt at the Cairo International Airport; with a private transfer, you will be taken to your hotel in Cairo. In the evening you enjoy the views from the panoramic windows and relax to start the adventure and exploration journey for the next 8 days on a structured itinerary. Your breakfast meals are included in the hotel stays; it is also beneficial as, after long air travel, you relax.

Day 2: Giza and GEM

After breakfast, get ready to explore the seventh ancient world wonder, the Pyramids at Giza, with a tour guide. With a private transfer, you will be traveling from Cairo to the outskirts of the city, which is the Giza Plateau, home to the great pyramids. On your tour you will explore all three pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure with the great Sphinx, a mythological creature in Egyptian history.

Then during the noon, you will be going to visit the GEM, which was recently opened on November 1, 2025. It has numerous statues, hanging obelisks, and Tutankhamun’s 5000 artifacts. After exploration you will be returning back to the hotel in Cairo.

Pro Tip: For meals during the day, prefer Egyptian cuisine to feel the connection with the culture deeper as you will be exploring the ancient history. Prefer lightweight clothing as you will be exploring the desert areas.

Day 3: Alexandria

You will be having a day trip to Alexandria included in the package with a 5-hour transfer by road. Alexandria is one of the beautiful cities in Egypt. On one side you will be seeing the Mediterranean coast and also exploring Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Before coming back to Cairo, you explore the Mediterranean Corniche to relax and capture sea views.

Day 4: Off to Aswan

Then on day four with an included domestic air transfer, you will be flying from Cairo to Aswan to experience the luxury of a Nile cruise in Egypt. First after arrival you will be exploring key highlights of the city like Philae Temple, the unfinished obelisk, and the high dam. By the afternoon you will be boarding the vessel and starting your majestic 4-day cruise journey from Aswan to Luxor.

To end the day, you will be having a dinner at the restaurant in a gourmet style with welcoming hospitality from the staff on board. At dark you can do stargazing from the deck and relax at the spacious cabins.

Day 5: Kom Ombo & Edfu

With an early morning trip, you can explore the ancient Abu Simbel temple, famous for its four unique large statues at the front gate. The temple is devoted to the sun god Amun-Ra. Then after returning to the vessel in the afternoon, you will have lunch, and the first stop will be Kom Ombo.

The city is home to a unique dual temple dedicated to the crocodile god and falcon-headed sky god, constructed during the Ptolemaic age. After the tour, you will have dinner and sail towards Edfu.

Fun Fact: At the Temple of Abu Simbel, still two times a year, a sun festival is celebrated. While exploring the Kom Ombo temple, you will also see the mummified Nile crocodiles, and at the temple you will see inscriptions about medicine in ancient Egypt.

Day 6: The Luxor’s East Banks

With the early morning dock, you will explore the Edfu temple, and after sailing for the day, by the afternoon you will reach the east banks of Luxor, where you will explore the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple.

Fun Fact: The Edfu Temple was buried under over 40 feet of desert sand for hundreds of years; it was rediscovered by the archaeologist Auguste Mariette in 1860. Karnak Temple is widely recognized as the world’s largest open-air museum, constructed by different kingdoms in Egyptian history.

Day 7: Explore the West of Luxor

Here your 3-night Nile cruise will end, and you will explore the ancient monuments like the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut. Then after completing exploration with a four-hour road journey, you will be reaching Hurghada. After checking in, you can relax at the resort.

Day 8: Red Sea Leisure

On the eighth day of your trip, spend the whole day exploring the corals of the Red Sea on the glass-bottom boat or try snorkeling at Giftun Island. Relax at the resort after the adventure of a 6-day retreat yourself. For activities, you can try the quad biking at the desert areas near Hurghada.

Pro Tip: The activities at the Red Sea beaches are optional, so it makes your trip flexible; you can enjoy it as you want.

Day 9: End of Your 9-day Trip

On your last day you will get a private transfer after having breakfast at the resort to the airport, and with an included air transfer from Hurghada to Cairo, you will return. Afterwards, you can plan accordingly whether to return or to explore more in the western desert.
