Kimbell Art Museum to Host Extraordinary Ancient Egyptian Artifacts in 2027
The treasures of the pharaohs can now be seen by the visitors in North America next year. It will offer insights about the lavish lives of the Egyptians in ancient times, as some of the precious and rare artifacts will be approaching Fort Worth as one of the stops during the exhibition tour.
According to the reports, the “treasures of the pharaohs” will be carrying more than 1300 artifacts of ancient Egypt to the Renzo Piano Pavilion in Kimbell from 14 March to 19 September 2027. These artifacts, which are going to be displayed there, have been taken from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and from the Luxor Museum, situated in the ancient city of Thebes, which is modern-day Luxor in Egypt.
Artifacts, which will be displayed at the exhibition

This exhibition will be offering rare and must-see insights about the social, royal, religious, and afterlife practices of the Egyptians performed in their prime periods. According to the Fort Museum, visitors can gain insights about the lives of the Egyptian people by seeing the artifacts.
The Kimbell’s director, Eric M. Lee, has said this in a statement: that from times of history, artifacts will tell about the day-to-day life of the Egyptians and also many artifacts that are recently discovered. For visitors the exhibition will be impressive both visually and intellectually.
There will be six thematic sections that will exhibit the Egyptian artifacts; their names are listed here as reported by the Fort Worth:
- The Treasures of the Pharaohs
- People Around the Pharaohs
- Religion and Beliefs: The World of Gods and Goddesses
- Daily Life in Ancient Egypt
- The Golden City
- Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt.
The first one is currently at an exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome. It is believed that this show will be a highly attended exhibition in the museum’s history, as many of the artifacts will be presented for the first time. Before the exhibition in Kimbell, it will make its first stop at the de Young Museum in San Francisco from August 1 to January 31, 2027.
Artifacts from ancient Egypt are going to be the latest display of ancient art that will be marking stops at North America’s Fort Worth Museum. Here at the last September, Roman sculptures were displayed, which were mainly carved in the 5th and 4th centuries BC.
