Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Unveils Media Initiative Celebrating Travelers’ Experiences in Egypt

In Egypt, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has recently started campaigning about the tourists’ activities in Cairo and all over major spots. Amid the regional war-like situation in neighboring countries, travelers are reconsidering their decision to travel to Egypt.

This broad initiative is taken under the guidance and approach of the ETA (Egyptian Tourism Authority), and it also partners with the ETF (Egyptian Tourism Federation). Tourism in Egypt is a major factor of the economy, and over the years, it has seen significant growth and has taken several steps in encouraging international tourism in Egypt.

The foremost example of this is the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is the world’s only museum dedicated to a single dynasty or a pharaoh. It houses the 5,000 artifacts of King Tutankhamun, and its highlight is the massive statue of Ramesses II. It was recently opened on November 4, 2025. So, tourism in Egypt is highly respected and also handled with utmost care and security.

About the Campaign

The campaigning primarily features short video clips across social media platforms of the tourists exploring different locations, from Luxor to Cairo and Hurghada. These are the videos that show real expressions and views of the present tourists now exploring the beauty of Egypt. They are kind of testimonials or proofs showing how tourism is still looking in Egypt; these videos are published on the digital channels of the Egyptian Tourism Authority and official tourism pages.

By capturing these moments, the authorities are showcasing that there are no impacts of war seen in Egypt, indicating safe environments for the tourists amid increasing tensions between Middle Eastern countries. These authorities are working to enhance the quality of services provided to visitors and further improve tourism activities in the country.

The government official, Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the ETA (Egyptian Tourism Authority), has also supported these campaigns, noting that these live videos will help showcase Egypt as a safe travel destination for tourists around the world.

Adding to this campaign is the marketing head of the Central Administration for Tourism Marketing at ETA, Susan Mostafa, who said we are running campaigns for clarity and awareness purposes to help tourists know about the tourism activities in Egypt.

The primary focus of the ETA strongly stands for expanding tourism to Egypt in international tourism markets, and this campaign is part of it.

You can follow the official pages of the authorities on social media to see the updates on the campaigns running. Egypt is a prominent tourist location, as it recorded the highest number of tourists on the African continent, so these campaigns support it.
